Basic. But for the price and what I wanted it for it's perfect. The children play with a keyboard, but they're still young so they always press every button....including on/off repeatedly. When it comes on it comes on full volume. These speakers are now connected to the keyboard so when the keyboard comes on it doesn't shake the whole village!
