To turn off the display of CTO-R251S:
1.Press and hold the TIME/SHADE for 3 seconds to turn off the display (can press any button to active the display)
2.If the toaster oven is inactive for 30 minutes, the display will turn off automatically. Use any control to wake up the toaster oven.
3.As with most appliances, it is a good habit to unplug the unit for energy-saving purposes and as a safety precaution
